Blindfolded by my husband, he guides me to a location of his choosing. We planned this morning. By “we” I mean, “I told him I needed him to do this for me and he planned everything out.” He picked the spot and I had to trust him to keep me safe while I photographed without the use of my eyes.

What started as an exercise in vulnerability became a profound experience. It became a study not only in my trust of my partner but a study in how that partnership transcends life itself. My mind wandered to difficult places as I tracked his movements around me.

This body of work is not only a reflection of the actual experience of photographing blindfolded but a study in the intimacy of my partnership with my husband.
